A symbol of what is the bullfinch. The meaning of embroidery symbols and omens in embroidery. The meaning of the snowbird tattoo

Production

Tattoos with birds are very common, it is one of the favorite themes of fans of tattoo culture, so it already seems hackneyed to many. However we all understand that in our time it is rather difficult to come up with something absolutely new, but here in a new way to beat something familiar - a task that can be even much more interesting. To begin with, perhaps, is that not all birds are equally popular, in the leaders at the moment knocked out , and . But, for example, bullfinches are quite rare, because the meaning of the bullfinch tattoo does not lie on the surface and not everyone understands intuitively. But the idea is definitely interesting, so today we will consider it in more detail.

What can a bullfinch tell about?

Eagles are strong, peacocks are regal, owls are wise, crows are mysterious, but what is the peculiarity of the bullfinch? The bullfinch is a small and very beautiful bird, its virtues not so obvious, but just as meaningful. So, what will a picture of a bullfinch say about its owner?

  • Freedom
. Birds have always been associated with freedom. They can soar into the sky and fly wherever they want. A person with such a tattoo longs for inner freedom, perhaps he feels constrained by circumstances, dreams of fundamentally changing his life. He is tired of routine, routine, looking for new impressions, bright emotions. Probably at some point in our lives, we all face similar desires. A tattoo in this case can become a kind of incentive to act in order to fulfill one's desire, a reminder that everything is in the hands of only the person himself.
  • Inner power
. Bullfinches are forced to constantly fight the bad weather, resist the piercing wind, snow blizzards, and come out victorious from the battle with the elements. The owner of a tattoo depicting this bird may also be participating in a personal battle, struggling with circumstances, not allowing them to break themselves. In fact, the life of almost any person is a continuous struggle for his interests, the assertion of his ideals. To stand firmly on one's feet, one has to resist the hardships of life, skillfully beat back the blows of fate, otherwise one will simply be swept away by the stream.

In ancient times, birds were considered the guardians of the soul, when a person died, they carried his soul to the netherworld. Choosing a bullfinch as such a guardian, a person adopts its strength, the ability to fight and win, imbued with the power of spirit of this small but strong-willed bird.

History of the first studies

Scylla on houseplants

Science is known for rare cases in which scientists, far from any field, unexpectedly made a valuable contribution to this section. A prime example is the artist Gould, who gave the world of ornithology the amadins named after him.

What does John Gould have to do with it, you may ask, and what connection do red-headed bullfinches have to that name? The story is enigmatic and a bit dramatic. In the first third of the nineteenth century, a book was published in England, The Age of Himalayan Birds, which included a sketch of a red-headed bullfinch signed by John Gould.

The funny thing is that Gould depicted this unexplored bird with only a stuffed animal from a museum in Glasgow as a model.

Later, when the red-headed bullfinches were already systematized, Gould's first authorship in terms of official depiction of the bird was attempted to be challenged. But because of the first dating of the drawing and its maximum realism, nothing came of it.

The image of the bullfinch in the tattoo

Tattoo with a bullfinch cannot be attributed to male or female, after all, this bird embodies those traits and internal aspirations that are inherent in any person.

The image of the bullfinch usually does not require much space, so it will look good in almost any place. Most often choose the chest, scapula or forearm. By the way, the forearm is the ideal place for the first tattoo: it is one of the least painful. A tattoo is a painful experience in any case, and everyone endures it differently. However, remember that the pain will only have to endure once, while the tattoo will remain with you forever.

You don't have to limit yourself to the image of a bullfinch. Birds are often depicted sitting on a branch of mountain ash or carrying it in their beaks, against a winter landscape. Very nice look work with two birds, holding in their beaks one branch, which symbolizes the belief in true feelings, eternal love and devotion. There are even unusual ideas, such as bullfinches in hats and scarves, riding on snowboards and other outstanding ideas. If we talk about styles, the first thing that naturally comes to mind is realism. Realistic birds look impressive, if the work is done by a really talented artist. This style is much more difficult to perform than many others, so the choice of master should be taken responsibly.

Watercolor is one of the styles that are best suited for tattoos with birds. It allows you to display the ease with which the bullfinch soars into the sky, bright splashes of paint look as if he leaves a plume behind him. Watercolor works look airy, delicate, they immediately catch the eye, because they look more like drawn paintings than real tattoos.

Many people are very fond of embroidery. Someone embroidery landscapes, someone houses, some like to embroider flowers, and some animals ... But how many of us wondered what this or that picture embroidered by us. Here are the main symbols and signs in the embroidery, guided by which you can solve some of life's issues.

Apartment issue (to buy a cottage, an apartment, to get his own house) helps to solve the embroidered HOUSE. It does not matter if it's a set of some company, embroidery on the scheme, cross, tapestry stitch or satin. It doesn't matter if it's a village hut or a luxurious mansion. Any building will help to improve the living conditions. In the experience of embroiderers - the size of the embroidered house does not matter.

Find love, get married.

I'm going to embroider an animal or a bird - two storks, a duck, a pair of wolves - to meet my mate. Pair embroidery of animals or birds - two storks, ducks, a pair of wolves promotes a meeting with his mate, as well as family well-being. Especially good if the house hangs a picture with a pair of wolves. If you will embroider a pair of people - a man and a woman, then ideally they should be holding hands or kissing.

A meeting with a loved one is perfectly conducive to PIONS. According to feng shui, the peony is a flower of joy, a symbol of exquisite passion and carnal love. It is the most favorable symbol for young couples. An image of a peony in the bedroom or in the love sector is a wonderful talisman, but its beneficial effect is relevant only in the first years of marriage. When children are born and a young wife becomes a mother, peonies in the bedroom begin to symbolize infidelity. That is, it is better to embroider peonies for couples who do not yet have children, so as not to provoke infidelity in the marriage. Therefore, after a few years of happy marriage, replace the embroidery for another.

To speed up the wedding, you can embroider gold wedding rings on a red (obligatory!) background (I think you can do it on red canvas, too). If an unmarried girl embroiders an EDINOROG, she will be married in the near future.

Children

The most famous omen among embroiderers - embroidery of three angels from Dimensions - Almost Perfect ("Almost Perfect"). If you embroider them, you're bound to get pregnant. Judging by the reviews on the forums, the embroidery works 99% of the time.

GOLDEN FISH symbolizes success in financial matters. CARP is a symbol of wealth.

If you are carrying a goldfish, you will find a symbol of good luck. One of the most effective talismans for the wealth zone. Brings wealth, increases monetary luck. It is better to place it in the zone of wealth (southeast sector). It is necessary to place it as if it will jump into the house.

A HORN is a symbol of good fortune, abundance and prosperity. Feng shui recommends placing it with the ends up.

A money tree symbolizes wealth and attraction of money: - An odd number of coins (otherwise money will decrease, not arrive). It is best if there are 9 coins. Coins must be with a hole in the middle and hieroglyphs - an odd number of flowers, and preferably 3 flowers. The flowers should be similar to a cherry blossom. Attached to the flowers and coins should be a red thread. The tree should hang in front of the front door so that the money goes into the house.

A HORSE is a symbol of speed and endurance, the joy of life, optimism and good glory. It's best if the horse is upward facing. The horse brings with it the wind of change and favorable changes in life. If you attach a symbolic image of gold to the horse's back, then the horse will bring you fame and money...

The meaning of the bullfinch tattoo

Tattoos depicting birds are quite popular, they symbolize freedom, the feeling of flight, lightness and independence. The ability of birds to fly has always attracted and admired by people.

Tattoo with a picture of a bullfinch will approach only to the person who loves birds. If the opposite is the case, the tattoo can carry negative connotations.

Tattoo with the image of a bullfinch are not very common in comparison to other feathered birds. It looks very original and beautiful. The bullfinch symbolizes a great desire to achieve his goals, a strong spirit and resilience. After all, he can survive in difficult weather conditions, overcoming all obstacles and great distances.

So, too, the person who chooses a tattoo with the image of a bullfinch, can overcome any tests and be unwavering. Despite its resilience, bullfinches are very trusting birds, they go to the contact with people and do not hurry to fly away from him.

There is a legend about the origin of the name of a bullfinch: in one of the winter colds, the birds decided to give the sun some tasty treats and rowan berries, as a sign of their love.

But because the birds were tiny, it was difficult for them to make their way to the sun. The bright rays burned the feathers of the feathers and their breasts turned red. "Snowbird" translates from Latin as "fiery."

There is an alternative story about the origin of the bullfinch. One tiny bird had dreamed all her life that her gray feathers would turn red. No matter how hard she tried, she was never able to get what she wanted.

One day, she flew over Jerusalem and noticed a martyr being led to his execution. On his head was a wreath of thorns, the thorns of which had been so deeply embedded in his forehead that he was bleeding. The bird took pity on the man and, wanting to ease his suffering, plucked the thorn from his forehead. Thus it became stained with blood, and its breast became red.

Only male bullfinches have bright plumage, females, as a rule, are not distinguished by their appearance. But regardless of this fact, a tattoo depicting a bullfinch, in most cases, choose the representative of the female sex.

The picture is performed in a feminine, sophisticated and refined style. Such a tattoo will give its owner confidence, brightness, originality and strength of mind in overcoming difficulties of life.

Tattoo with the image of a bullfinch complement such elements as snow, spruce twigs, clusters of mountain ash. Also, birds are depicted in pairs. Such a variation is perfect for a romantic person who has an attachment to his or her partner. Often the bullfinches are depicted in flight, which symbolizes the freedom, ease, independence and strong energy.

Many peoples believed that the souls who left their bodies after death, continue their life in the guise of a bullfinch. Thus, a tattoo depicting this tiny bird will give its owner the strength of spirit and protect him from trouble and other negative situations.

Bullfinches are not visible in summer, but always attract attention in winter. Too bright a bird for the white and gray time of the year. And on a sunny winter day, against the blue sky, bullfinches explode with the joyful red of their plumage the winter hibernation of nature, symbolizing the holiday of life.

Bullfinch - the symbol of winter and Christmas

In Russia, the bullfinch is uniquely associated with the onset of winter and cold weather, when the bird moves closer to human habitation. In the summer, as well as , bullfinches live in the woods and they are not visible among the foliage, they seem to dissolve in the other colors of summer. In winter, however, red-breasted birds are very visible. The bullfinch is the character of many Soviet New Year's cards, and this has cemented the bird's association with winter in the minds of Russians.

In Western Europe, the bullfinch is a symbol of Christmas, not only because Christmas falls in winter, but also because of the red color in its plumage. Because red, along with green, is a symbol of Catholic Christmas, where red symbolizes the blood of Christ.

The name of the bullfinch in Latin sounds "pyrrhula", which translates as "fire. Symbolically, the bullfinch is associated with fire and warmth, including warmth of the soul. To some extent, we can also draw an analogy with the phoenix, symbolizing the ability to overcome difficulties and recover.

The bullfinch is a symbol of friendship and friendliness. In flocks of bullfinches there are almost never scuffles, as, for example, in sparrows.

The bullfinch represents the principle of mutual assistance. If one of the flock fell into a trap, the other birds do not fly away, but stay with the victim, supporting the unlucky fellow.

The bullfinch is a symbol of tranquility and flightiness

Sometimes the bullfinch is seen as a symbol of compassion and self-sacrifice. This is illustrated in a biblical legend, where the bullfinch is thought to be the bird that breaks and pulls out the thorns of the crown of thorns that were embedded in Christ in order to alleviate his suffering. One of the drops of blood got on the bird's breast, and since then the color is preserved on the feathers to commemorate the compassion shown by the bullfinch.

The bullfinch symbolizes friendliness and sometimes self-sacrifice
