Tattoo of hieroglyphs for a girl - how to choose an inscription, where to place, creative photos

Japanese style tattoos are very bright and large. Such tattoos do exclusively those who are not afraid to attract public attention. After all, such tattoos will always cause a storm of emotions, both positive and negative.

The Japanese style of tattoos is considered one of the most ancient. Its history goes back to the first Buddhists, who painted on his body prayers and symbols.

History of oriental tattoos

Unlike the Chinese, the Japanese nowadays do quite a lot of tattoos, but this was not always the case. Indeed, for a brief period at the end of World War II, getting or giving tattoos in Japan was actually an illegal procedure. The end in the war marked the beginning of freedom in tattooing.
The alphabetic symbols that appear in many Japanese tattoos are called Kanji. These symbols on their own or in combination with another, can show the full range of human emotions, thoughts, parables and poems.

In addition to calligraphy-like Kanji symbols, there are many different animal, spiritual and nature-oriented images and symbols that are done on the body as a Japanese tattoo.

More traditional Japanese tattoo styles depict dragons, koi, and other symbols of Japanese culture and lifestyle. These types of Japanese tattoos are becoming increasingly popular with women who have issues with this, sometimes intricate tattoos are placed on the thighs, back, ankles or arms.

Places and methods of application.

Decorate the body with a natal drawing with a hieroglyph a girl can on any part of the body. However, the most common place for a tattoo is the back and arms. In addition, this tattoo can be placed both vertically and horizontally - depending on personal preference. Of course, the most common are the vertical inscriptions of hieroglyphs on the back, which look mysterious and attractive, especially in the curves.

The color scheme of this tattoo in principle does not hear a great choice. All the same, both girls and guys prefer the black and white version. Very seldom it is possible to meet a hieroglyph in red color or any other color framing.

The difference between the Chinese and Japanese tattoo

Mention in the history of Chinese tattooing dates back to about 5000 BC, and it is likely that the Japanese painted tattoos on each other even before that, beginning with early Japanese artifacts dating earlier than those days that include clay figurines with face tattoos.

In the early days of Japanese clan warriors, large and elaborate tattoos symbolized the warrior's ability to withstand pain. Larger and more elaborate Chinese tattoos were for the bravest warriors.

As warriors began to fall out of fashion, and Japanese culture moved toward the art of Japanese tattoos. Tattoos now symbolize appreciation for the beautiful things in life, often associated with wealth and power.

Today, as many Japanese, as well as people from around the world, love to look at the beauty of Japanese tattoos and the skill of the craftsmen who create them.

How to choose a sketch and the right master?

It is not difficult to choose a sketch, it is enough to determine the meaning or translation of this or that symbol. You can find a photo of the finished work on the Internet, and then show it to the master in the salon.

When choosing a master be careful, preferably if he has already had experience with hieroglyphs and oriental calligraphy. A good and experienced master will always tell you which sign looks more effective, in what part of the body it is better to place and, of course, how to make a tattoo correctly.

When choosing a character as a girl, be aware of the need for proper translation and interpretation of the body drawing. One slightest mistake can lead to a distortion of the meaning of the whole talisman, which can bring to life something mysterious and perhaps mythical.

"Art on the skin". In the same studio with the tattoo master Ivan Vostok

Last September, Karaganda hosted the first International Tattoo Festival. It turned out to be one of my brightest adventures of the past year. After lying under needles for 8 hours, winning "The best of day" nomination, my delight had no limit when I found out that the master Ivan Vostok, who depicted a masterpiece worthy of exhibition halls on my leg, had visited Karaganda again.

This time, the victim of beauty was Alexey.

Lesha was waiting for Ivan for several months and the wait was worth it. Ivan did practically impossible! In "Tattoo Pharos Studio" for 23 hours, he once again proved that he is worthy of the title "Tattoo Master"! From shoulder to wrist, the left arm of Alexei, paints the incredible beauty of the Japanese dragon. An indestructible classic, the execution - the highest score!

Under the whirring of needles, in an atmosphere of sterility and sacrifice for the sake of this eternal art, Ivan agreed to a short interview:

Ivan Sergeyevich, how did you come to be with us for the first time?

- I was the first time I was invited to the Tattoo Festival, the first festival in Karaganda, and I was miraculously found on the Internet by Uslan Batyrbaev. Of course I was most intrigued by the name of the city, because I've heard a lot but never seen it, and I certainly didn't think I'd ever be here. Naturally I could not refuse, though of course there were doubts, but in the end I came, which I do not regret. So that's how my first visit to this beautiful city happened.

- What prompted the second visit? Was it Lyosha?

- Well, so did Lesha (our guest continued with a sadistic smile), but in fact, Ruslan invited me as a "Guest Master" to work. This European practice gives people the opportunity to purchase a tattoo from a master without bothering to go somewhere to him, which greatly saves their financial expenses. Although the practice all over the world is such that people are ready to go wherever for the master, if only to get exactly from him the work. It's like collecting paintings from specific artists.

- What are your plans after Karaganda?

-Likely on March 15th I am going to China to Hong-Kong, from Hong-Kong I will fly to Bali, then I will come back and almost immediately go to Altmaty for Tattoo Festival. After almaty I go back again for 2-3 weeks and then to the festival in Prague. If I did not miss, then after I will have to go to Canada, in Toronto.

-And now a little for the general public. How did you come to this? What motivated you to do it and how long do you plan to do tattoos?

- I'm going to do it until my last breath, until I die. I started by accident. Still when I was a cadet of flight school, in my attire, in any other privations of cadet life it dawned on me that I want to draw very much. I tried and something seemed to work out, even though I had never drawn before, never learned anything. And then I studied and studied and studied until I had a chance to tattoo the guys I was studying with. Certainly I think that tattoo did not shine with quality, but in any case - it was the first tattoo. (By the way, that tattoo was a dolphin) And so it went, I got better at once than the guys who were doing tattoos longer than me, I was their competition. Until now I am improving and I think that it is not possible to reach some limit in this profession. I'm just at the beginning of my journey.

-Each craftsman works in his own genre, which do you do best? Or do you do everything?

- I do almost everything, but not everything. There are some works like Dotwork, not really interesting Old School, but in general I do all the other styles, but preferably realism and Fantasy. I am totally immersed in creating colorful, vivid subjects

- Are there any criteria for clients?

- Any difficult criteria at me to clients it is not present, but the client should be fresh by itself so to speak and necessarily sober, well naturally - adult. Moscow is a big city, there are cases that, come to do tattoo - schoolboys. It is not an isolated case, very often. Someone comes to do tattoo with parents. Strangely enough, many schoolchildren's choices are very good, but it's very scary that these are students in grades 7-8.

-Can I bring my parents?

-Yes, they're the ones in charge of them.

-Do you have a favorite job accomplished?

-Not yet. I think every job is my favorite. I have a lot of desire to do other work, so after doing one job I quickly switch to the soon to start the next one. I don't get hung up on one thing, I switch easily.

-How about idols? Any of the famous masters that you look up to or take their example?

-Yes, of course! My only idol, maybe them and it is impossible to create for itself, but it nevertheless is - is the Ukrainian artist, tattooist, musician Dmitry Samokhin. This is probably the ideal of what I would like to achieve.

- Have you ever refused to work because of a bad mood??

-There have been instances where I have refused to work because, the client was inadequate. He demanded all sorts of things that were completely beyond the sober imagination, and the man didn't understand whether he needed it or not. It's only been a couple of times, and my mood doesn't affect my work.

- Have you ever had work that really sparked your genuine interest? The kind that would go, "Oh yes! I really want to work on that"?

-There have been some, yes. Throughout my creative journey, there are pieces like this, clients like this that I find incredible and interesting and exciting. In just a few years, that kind of work will seem pretty ordinary to me. The more experienced we become, the higher and farther our horizons are.

- And finally. What would you like to wish to young artists who are just starting their creative journey?

- I advise to work a lot, work hard, never "catch a star" and be adequate simple people, and those who want to score - I advise to choose a master carefully, look at his work and only after that go to him to score!

So we talked, continued over a cup of hot tea (but that's another story), but then I once again had the opportunity to be under the needle of this amazing master. His work is really worth seeing! Thank you for coming, I'm looking forward to it...

That's the masterpiece on the hand of Alexei. Do you still have doubts about Ivan's craftsmanship? :)

The Hand of Fatima.

Cultural monuments found during archaeological excavations in the Middle East show that the amulet in the form of a palm was used as early as the time of ancient Mesopotamia, and was called the hand of Ishtar. With the advent of Islam, the amulet became known as the hand of Fatima, one of the daughters of the Prophet Muhammad.

There is a legend that tells about the origin of this symbol. One day Fatima's husband brought a second wife into the house. The mistress of the house was just preparing a meal on the fire. She was so upset by the news that she dropped the spoon she had been stirring in the cauldron and continued to stir the boiling brew with her hand. Her heartache was so intense that she did not even notice the physical pain. After seeing this picture, Fatima's husband abandoned the idea of marrying a second time and remained faithful to her alone for the rest of his life.

Native Americans painted a picture of a hand with an eye on it, which was supposed to reveal the gift of clairvoyance. In Christian tradition, the image of the hand meant the hand of God.

Also, such a tattoo allows the fair sex to reveal as a faithful wife, a loving mother and a caring guardian of the family home.

Men's ornaments are an inverted triangle, as well as an angle turned upwards, symbolizing strength and the heavenly roof (patronage and protection from the heavens). Since ancient times, it is believed that the masculine colors for tattoo ornament are blue, green and black.
